Looking at moving to Freeport? Great fun available in the city of LL Bean’s flagship sotre!
Jim and Kathleen have been known to hop on their Harley motorcycle and drive up to Freeport from their home in Cape Elizabeth just to have breakfast at The Fresh Batch in Freeport. Jim loves their corned beef sweet potato hash and Kathleen’s loves their gluten-free offerings.
You can’t go to Freeport without visiting L.L.Bean–this flagship store is also their largest and has called Main Street in Freeport its home for over a century. There are always events going on in Discovery Park, including an annual free summer concert series.
The Freeport outlets are not everyone’s cup of tea, but they have been a Maine staple for decades. The best thing about the outlets is that they feel less like an outlet mall and more like shopping in a quaint small town, mixed in with restaurants, art galleries, and other local shops.
